Removing Backgrounds from photos?

Hi all, I would like to remove the backgrounds from my photos when I post them anyone know a simple way, If not i guess I could goggle it but thought I'd ask you guys first

    I use Corel paintshop pro x4 Ultimate. It can be used to remove backgrounds or remove objects to put on diff backgrounds. I don't know of any free programs that have this feature. Cost wise a good program and easy yo use.

    I use PSPX4 too and I love that program, but it's not cheap. You can use Gimp to do it also, and that's a free download. Here's a link: www.gimp.org
