I hate this look, so I painted it white again then I will sand edges, I think my sand paper is the wrong texture any ideas what might have gone wrong? Viewing the picture it doesn't look to bad for the first try but I'm gonna try again I don't like it
I use a real fine grade sandpaper for smoothing out between coats of varnish..I would imagine it might be the same for getting the distressed look with paint...not sure tho. Let me know if you get any ideas, I got some furniture I'd like to try it on.
ReplyDeleteTam,
ReplyDeleteYou could dry brush some black or brown over the white. Or just paint it solid red or black. That would be cool.

I would try the dry brushing first then if you still aren't happy then paint it a different color.Hugs,Jen
ReplyDeleteI always put dark color on as base , then dry brush , then sand with very fine grit sandpaper! Happy painting ! Hugs lil raggedy angie
